Open Question: What does it mean if the bank has a “Lien on my collateral”?
Got a note from the bank that says they’ve recieved notice from my insurance company that our insurance has expired. And tells me “Verify with them we have a lien on the collateral, and ask them to fax us a copy of it to xxx-xxx-xxxx verifying full coverage insurance.” What can they do if we don’t follow the instructions? Our loan is up next month. Thanks.. Don’t tell me to call and ask. Trust me, I’ve thought of it already.
