Job Search

Job search?

Im unemployed and search on the net every day and look in the wednesday and saturday age, applying for the jobs that are there jobs like nursery hands, kitchenhands, manufacting jobs ( all not retail ) i send out resumes to buisnesses. my job network member that i have to see keeps telling me im too skiny blah blah blah and that my resume is ruined from too many jobs. so i have low self eistem at the moment and dont visit buisnesses in person, and get so nervous calling them. Are any one else going through the same thing?

Millions of people go through this, and it's sad. It's really hard sometimes due to the economy or what your area is going through. I really want to recommend a few ideas..One thing, go to your local employment office and try to seek assistance finding a job. Log onto monster.com if you have not yet and post your resume' and also look for employers in your area hiring. Also check out craigslist.org sometimes people looking for employees post there as well, doesn't hurt to check.
Next thing you can do is go to a college in your area and see about taking a course toward a career that you can do that has a lot of jobs. Nurses, EMT's, etc and you can become an LVN within 2 years, also an EMT within a year or two, there are quite a few other jobs.. You can also get assistance at some colleges to pay for your education and even get enough money to cover some of your home expenses.

Also, for a job while you are searching there are a couple of online jobs you can most likely get http://liveops.com and http://workathomeagents.com they hire a lot for people to work at home and you can pretty much get a job easy at either one of them as long as you have a pleasing voice and a computer with internet access.

Good luck!
